"The tracking database file ...\res1.log is corrupted near byte offset 49." error
I keep getting the above error (and also one about res2.log) any time I try to track a message in Exchange 2003. I have tried stopping Exchange, deleting the *.log files, and restarting Exchange multiple times, but each time, it seems to not like the resX.log files it creates at startup. I have also tried doing a reinstall of Exchange 2003 (+SP1) in case something was corrupt with Exchange itself. Didn't help. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks, Karl

I can't find anything on this. Is it a popup error or in the event logs? Any more detail on the error? Not sure if it will help but you could try SP2 and the post SP2 patches...

res1.log has nothing to do with message tracking, that is a transaction log not a message tracking log test
